📱 Telemedicine abortion is winning — and that terrifies the right
What if access to abortion depends on your ZIP code—or your Wi-Fi? Telemedicine has become a critical pathway to abortion care, especially in states with severe restrictions. “Although most pro-choice Americans remain unaware that telemedicine abortion is an option, patients seeking abortions have widely embraced it. More than a quarter of all abortions in the U.S. were provided via telemedicine in 2025.” Legal and political challenges now threaten to limit or ban remote care, disproportionately harming rural and low-income patients. The coming year could determine whether telemedicine remains a lifeline or is cut off nationwide. — The Hill
🧪 Texas, Florida sue FDA over abortion pill approval
Can states undo federal drug approvals decades later? Texas and Florida filed a lawsuit seeking to overturn the FDA’s approval of the abortion pill mifepristone, challenging both its original authorization and later expansions allowing mail delivery. The states invoke old laws like the Comstock Act to argue broader access undermines abortion restrictions. Advocates warn removing mifepristone would devastate abortion care nationwide. “If they succeed in restricting access to mifepristone, abortion access will be devastated across the country, even in states where abortion remains legal,” Shellie Hayes-McMahon, executive director of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Texas.— San Antonio Current
🏛️ Pennsylvania House advances proposed constitutional abortion protections
Can state constitutions become the firewall for reproductive freedom? Pennsylvania lawmakers moved forward with a proposal to enshrine abortion protections in the state constitution amid shifting federal standards. Supporters say constitutional language is necessary to protect bodily autonomy long-term. The proposal still faces major procedural and political hurdles before voters weigh in. — GoErie

Taking Action for Reproductive Freedom: Why It Matters and What You Can Do
Across the country, fear and uncertainty are growing as extreme abortion bans take hold, putting the health, dignity, and autonomy of millions at risk. Abortion is essential health care—and it is widely supported by the public. Yet nearly 28 million women of reproductive age now face escalating barriers to care, with devastating consequences already unfolding in real lives. These bans are not abstract policies; they cause pain, delay lifesaving treatment, and strip people of control over their own bodies.
Even in the face of these attacks, health care providers continue to show up—offering birth control, cancer screenings, prenatal care, and, where legally permitted, abortion services. Their commitment underscores a simple truth: medical decisions belong to patients and their doctors, not politicians. It’s time to listen to those impacted, speak out, and act to keep government out of personal health care.
Reproductive freedom is not just a political debate—it is a fundamental human right tied to health, equality, and self-determination. Yet that right is under assault, in the United States and around the world, through restrictive laws, disinformation, and coordinated efforts to roll back hard-won progress. This moment demands collective action. We must rise together to defend access to safe, legal, and affordable reproductive health care for all.

What is the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA) ?
The Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA) has been introduced into Congress and will protect a woman’s health, ability to make her own decisions, and constitutional rights.
Despite its popularity among most Americans, the Women’s Health Protection Act passed in 2021 in the House of Representatives under Democratic Nancy Pelosi’s leadership but failed to advance in the Senate due to a Republican blockade.
