How to take it: Take every day at the same time (within 3 hours of the previous dose) to stay protected.
Side effects: Possible temporary headaches, nausea, sore breasts, spotting, or changes in periods—usually subside in 2–3 months.

“Defund” Litigation Update:
The Trump administration’s request for a stay on the preliminary injunction was granted on Thursday, September 11. The preliminary injunction that had kept the “defund” provision from being enforced is now stayed. That means the “defund” provision passed by Congress and signed into law by President Trump can now be enforced against Planned Parenthood members.
Federal Government Shutdown:
First, Congressional Republicans and the Trump administration came for health care and Planned Parenthood health centers this summer. Now, as health care costs are set to skyrocket, they’ve chosen to shut down the federal government rather than work across the aisle to lower health care costs. The Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA) has been introduced into Congress and will protect a woman's health, ability to make her own decisions, and constitutional rights.
Despite its popularity among most Americans, the Women's Health Protection Act passed in 2021 in the House of Representatives under Democratic Nancy Pelosi's leadership but failed to advance in the Senate due to a Republican blockade.
