Every action counts in the fight for abortion access. Today in ❤️ Reproductive Freedom for All we’re featuring December 4, 2024 news and critical calls-to-action.
Across the country, health centers remain steadfast in delivering essential sexual and reproductive health services, including birth control, cancer screenings, STI testing, and, where legally permitted, abortion care.
Yet, 28 million women of reproductive age now face harsh restrictions as abortion bans tighten their grip across multiple states.
These bans are not just policies—they are costing lives. We know the names, faces, and stories of those already harmed, and heartbreakingly, they are just the beginning. Every day these restrictions remain in place, more lives are impacted, and more people endure unnecessary suffering.
Americans are increasingly anxious and fearful. Abortion is not only a critical healthcare service but also one that enjoys broad public support. It’s time to listen, take action, and protect the rights and health of millions.
Americans don’t want politicians interfering in personal health care choices.
MAGA Republicans are relentlessly attacking reproductive freedom, undermining the rights and autonomy of millions of Americans. Their harmful agenda puts personal medical decisions in the hands of politicians, stripping away essential healthcare and endangering lives. We must stand united to protect reproductive justice and preserve the rights of all people to control their own bodies.

Florida didn't play fair in fight over abortion rights
USA Today
Prior to April 2023, if a young woman in school or starting her career became unexpectedly pregnant, she had the right to make the best decision for herself, including the option of abortion. Florida legislators took away those rights without a citizen referendum on April 13 last year when they approved a ban on abortions after six weeks.
The Asymmetry in the Abortion-Rights Movement
New Yorker By Jessica Winter
Even in a post-Citizens United world, it is difficult to comprehend just how much money Democrats spent on their losses in the 2024 elections. In the Ohio Senate race, Sherrod Brown’s campaign committee burned through eighty-eight million dollars, outspending the winner by four to one. Jon Tester, of Montana, put up similarly lopsided numbers in surrendering his Senate seat.
Abortion rights advocates are celebrating a victory in Wyoming
NPR By Hanna Merzbach
A judge recently struck down Wyoming's ban on abortions, citing a state constitutional amendment championed by the state's Republicans in 2012.
The Guardian By Padraig Belton
On abortion rights, she pushed, successfully, for guidelines clarifying Northern Ireland’s abortion law for healthcare professionals. Lo’s entry into politics happened quite unexpectedly.

What is the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA) ?
The Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA) has been introduced into Congress and will protect a woman's health, ability to make her own decisions, and constitutional rights.
Despite its popularity among most Americans, the Women's Health Protection Act passed in 2021 in the House of Representatives under Democratic Nancy Pelosi's leadership but failed to advance in the Senate due to a Republican blockade.
