Marchers carried posters and signs through city streets as speakers urged people to vote in the election. 'We've got to stand up for democracy,' protester Lina Anderson said. 'We have to stand up for women's right to have control over her body, control over her life.

Thousands of women rallied Saturday in the nation’s capital and elsewhere in support of abortion rights and other feminist causes ahead of Tuesday’s election. Demonstrators carried posters and signs through city streets, chanting slogans such as: “We won’t go back!” Some men joined with them. Speakers urged people to vote in the election – not only for president but also on down-ballot issues such as abortion-rights amendments that are going before voters in various states.

What is the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA) ?
The Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA) has been introduced into Congress and will protect a woman's health, ability to make her own decisions, and constitutional rights.
Despite its popularity among most Americans, the Women's Health Protection Act passed in 2021 in the House of Representatives under Democratic Nancy Pelosi's leadership but failed to advance in the Senate due to a Republican blockade.

Their harmful agenda puts personal medical decisions in the hands of politicians, stripping away essential healthcare and endangering lives.
In response to recent MAGA shenanigans to harm Americans, People Power United - a progressive grassroots group - issued the following statement:
“We must stand united to protect reproductive justice and preserve the rights of all people to control their own bodies. There is no power like that of the people, and People Power United stands ready to protect our communities against any and all injustices,” said Laurie Woodward García of People Power United.
