Across the nation, health centers continue to provide essential sexual and reproductive health services like birth control, cancer screenings, STI testing, and, where legally allowed, abortion care.
Yet, 28 million women of reproductive age are now facing severe restrictions as abortion bans take hold in their states.
These bans are costing lives. We know the names and stories of those affected, and tragically, they are just the beginning. Every day under these restrictions means more suffering, more lives impacted.
Americans are deeply anxious and fearful. Abortion is both a vital service and widely supported by the public.
Americans don’t want politicians interfering in personal health care choices.
MAGA Republicans are relentlessly attacking reproductive freedom, undermining the rights and autonomy of millions of Americans. Their harmful agenda puts personal medical decisions in the hands of politicians, stripping away essential healthcare and endangering lives. We must stand united to protect reproductive justice and preserve the rights of all people to control their own bodies.

Women stock up on abortion pills and Plan B, fearing new restrictions under TrumpAs millions of Americans were waking up last Wednesday morning to learn that Donald Trump won the presidency, it dawned on Dr. Angel Foster that she was about to be very busy. Foster is co-founder of the Massachusetts Medication Abortion Access Project, or the MAP, a telehealth provider that sends abortion medication through the mail to patients across the U.S., including states where it's illegal.

‘Men’s March’ anti-abortion rally begins, heading toward Boston Common

The National Men’s March to Abolish Abortion and Rally for Personhood began Saturday morning outside Planned Parenthood in Allston, with anti-abortion advocates booming that nonbelievers should “repent” before beginning a three-mile-long trek to the Common. The demonstration, which has several hundred people in attendance, is expected to culminate in a rally at the Parkman Bandstand that starts around 12:45 p.m., according to the flier for the rally.

Maryland is training more health workers to offer abortion care

In 2022, Maryland passed a law expanding who could offer abortion care. In the two counties around nurse practitioner Samantha Marsee's clinic in rural northeastern Maryland, there's not a single clinic that provides abortions. And until recently, Marsee herself wasn't trained to treat patients who wanted to end a pregnancy. "I didn't really have a lot of knowledge about abortion care," she said.

What is the Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA) ?
The Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA) has been introduced into Congress and will protect a woman's health, ability to make her own decisions, and constitutional rights.
Despite its popularity among most Americans, the Women's Health Protection Act passed in 2021 in the House of Representatives under Democratic Nancy Pelosi's leadership but failed to advance in the Senate due to a Republican blockade.
